PAULS VALLEY Oklahoma (NBC NEWS) — A crash along a busy Oklahoma Interstate has motorists all abuzz.

A semi carrying boxes full of honey bees turned over on the highway in Pauls Valley Tuesday afternoon.

Video taken from inside a Sheriff’s cruiser shows thousands of angry, swarming bees blanketing the vehicle.

According to the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol, the deputy was stung only once and escaped otherwise unhurt.

NBC station KFOR of Oklahoma City reported that it took several hours for beekeepers to clear the scene of the flying critters. Traffic was backed up for four miles, said Bud Ramming, the county’s emergency management director.
