Ultralight plane crashes in New Hampshire lakes region

LACONIA, N.H. (AP) — A small, ultralight plane has crashed near the Weirs Beach Channel in New Hampshire’s lakes region.

The plane went down around 4 p.m. Saturday on a lawn next to the channel.

Firefighters told television station WHDH in Boston that they found the pilot unconscious when they arrived. He was taken to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.

A Laconia police dispatcher says the pilot was the only person on the plane.

The crash occurred at the edge of Lake Winnipesaukee’s western shore near Laconia.
