WICHITA, Kansas — The Wichita State University College of Education held their annual Welcomefest event Tuesday.
Students from health professions gave massages and the jazz band provided a little mood music for students. There were also duck races — a favorite amongst the students.
The faculty told KSN it is a great way to improve their college life.
“Students who get involved in student activities stay in school longer. They enjoy their time while they are here and they get to know the faculty, which gives them lifelong resources,” said Shirley Lefever-Davis, WSU College of Education.
Other campus organizations were invited as well in the hopes of getting students more involved on campus.
