Sedgwick County deputies arrest Oregon men for drug violations

WICHITA, Kan. – Two out-of-state men were taken into custody this week on drug charges for transporting marijuana through Sedgwick County.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office reports the men, ages 52 and 31, were booked into the Sedgwick County jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia and tax stamp violations.

Deputy say the two were in a pickup truck that was pulled over by a deputy near I-135 and 125th Street North about 1:30 p.m. on August 23rd for a traffic violations.  When a narcotics detection dog alerted on their truck, the vehicle was searched and three bags containing nearly 25 pounds of marijuana were found.

The names of the men were not released by the Sheriff’s Office.
