Two men die after being struck by a pickup in Goddard

UPDATE: KSN has confirmed with the Goddard Police Department that the two men, ages 69 and 72, that were hit by a truck Friday have died.

GODDARD, Kansas – Two men walking a dog were struck by a pickup in Goddard late Friday morning. It happened around 11:30 a.m. at Walnut and Brazos Street.

Authorities tell KSN News that a pickup heading southbound on Walnut ran into two men that were in a crosswalk.

“They were crossing in the crosswalk on Walnut on the east side of the road from north side to south side when they were impacted by an individual driving a small pickup truck,” said Don McElro, Goddard Interim Police Chief.

They were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries.  One man is 70 years old.
