DUNKERTON, Ia. – (KWWL) The process of building the largest steel grain bin in Iowa is nearly complete after months of work.
The bin, in Dunkerton, Iowa is expected to house 1-point-3 million bushels of grain when complete.
By comparison, this new bin will hold the amount of the three bins currently in use.
The grain bin has only a roof right now, but it will be built higher with jacks.
The bin is expected to grow about one hundred feet in the next couple of weeks and to be ready to use by this harvest season.
