The affidavit states that Marissa’s father reported that his son had been searching through the trash on Christmas night when they found a bag that was “squishy.” When he opened the bag, he observed a baby. Gary questioned his wife and daughter. The affidavit goes on to say that she (Marissa) had given birth to a baby in the home a week prior. That night, the father left the deceased infant in the garage and decided to report to information on Dec. 26th.

Fields is being held in the Johnson County Jail.
