WICHITA, Kansas – Storms early Monday brought lightning, thunder, and heavy rain throughout the metro area.
It also caused tree damage in southeast Wichita. KSN found several trees were uprooted at Clapp Golf Course. The golf course is located near Oliver and Harry. Other locations with tree damage were at Harry and Volutsia and Mt. Vernon and Oliver.
During the storm, Westar reported that more than 4,000 people were without power. The storm also knocked out several stoplights in Wichita. If you come to an intersection without lights, treat it like a 4-way stop.
