WICHITA, Kan. – A Wichita man was taken to a local hospital late Friday night following a stabbing that police say happened during a domestic disturbance.

Sgt. Brian Sigman said a 37-year-old man was arguing with a 24-year-old woman at about 11:50 p.m. in the 2400 block of N. Rosenthal when she allegedly stabbed him in the buttocks causing extensive internal bleeding.  He said the man was stabbed with enough force to break his pelvic bone.

The woman was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County jail on charges of aggravated battery.

Sigman said he did not know what the argument was about or how large the knife was.
