Video shows man tried to run down kids who bullied his daughter

ROCKFORD, Il. – An Illinois man has been charged with 12 counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly tried to run over a group of teenagers with his car.

The dangerous incident was caught on video.

According to police, 56-year old Roy Williams allegedly charged after a group of teenagers in his car because they’d bullied his daughter.

She’d reportedly been involved in a fight near a local elementary school.

Police say Williams threatened two 14-year olds with a cane before climbing into his vehicle and attempting to run them over.

All the children were able to get away from the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

Williams was later charged with 12 counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle, along with reckless driving and reckless conduct.
