HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Regional Medical Center reports hackers may have broken into a database that contains medical records of some patients who established an online account.
In a news release, the medical center says the online “patient portal” called MyKSHealth eRecord was the target of a sophisticated cyber attack on the NoMoreClipboard company that operates the portal.
The medical center said its own record system is separate from the MyKSHealth eRecord portal and was not compromised. The center said those patients who were affected should receive letter from Medical Informatics Engineersing, the parent company of NoMoreClipboard. that describes the information accessed and the actions being taken to avoid harm.
The data compromised includes password and demographic information. No clinical or financial information was affected.
