WICHITA, Kansas – With school budgets tight and some Kansas school districts starting as early as next week, a great resource is helping out Wichita teachers.
It’s called Project Teacher, a local not-for-profit, provides school supplies to teachers for free.
The items are donated in an effort to help teachers get more classroom resources.
The project served nearly 500 teachers in the Wichita area last year, impacting more than 10,000 students.
“Teachers are really resourceful, and so, we can take just about anything,” said Project Teacher director Terry Johnson. “And teachers will find a use for them.”
