Pedestrian hit by car owns Chic-Fil-A in east Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas – A Wichita man  recovering after being hit by a car late Wednesday afternoon is the owner of the Chic-Fil-A restaurant in east WIchita..

Fourty-one-year-old Brad Fuller was struck about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of 13th Street and Greenwich Road, Wichita Police say.

Sgt. Ron Hunt said when they arrived on the scene, they found Fuller had been injured after being struck by an SUV in the intersection.

Police say witnesses report the man was stopped in the median of the intersection, then ran into the street where he was hit.

Hunt said the SUV was traveling northbound on Greenwich and had the right of way.  He said the victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center where he remains in critical condition with head injuries.

Lt. James Espinoza, in a Thursday morning briefing said, “It appears the victim might have had earbuds in and made the decision that it was clear.”
