WICHITA, Kansas – A single mother of three is about to get a new home all thanks to the Wichita Habitat for Humanity.
Local women around town came out trading frills for drills Wednesday morning for the beginning of construction on Amanda Dominguez’s new three bedroom home.
Dominguez says she can hardly wait to leave behind the crowded two-bedroom home she and her kids live in right now.
“I still can’t believe I’m building my own home. I feel like I’m still volunteering. It means everything, stability.”
Dominguez’s house will be the 12th women build for the Wichita Habitat for Humanity.
