Suspects identified in burglary of Southwest Boys Club

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are investigating a burglary at the Southwest Boys Club Baseball Complex. It happened in the 2100 block of West 45th Street South early Saturday.

Police say $3,500 worth of items were stolen.  It included trophies, equipment for umpires, money, candy, shin guards, and face protectors. The trophies were for the tournament this last weekend, and several young men never received their trophies. The owners will have to purchase new trophies.

Wichita police released photos of two suspects. Police have been able to identify them thanks to help from the public, but they are still looking for them.

Lt. James Espinoza says this is the second time it’s been targeted for burglary.
