Drunk woman accused of spitting on police officer, kicking ER nurse

OLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — A woman is facing multiple charges after spitting on an officer and kicking an ER nurse while intoxicated Sunday morning, according to police.

Police said they were called to the 1200-block of Willow Bend Circle, which is in the area of Dublin Boulevard and North Nevada Avenue, around 5 a.m. Sunday to investigate a disturbance. When they arrived, they found two people who were “extremely intoxicated.”

One of the intoxicated people was given a ride to a local motel. The other, 28-year-old Alicia Wiedmaier, locked herself in a vehicle and continuously pressed the vehicle’s horn, according to police. Wiedmaier eventually unlocked the vehicle. As officers were talking to her, she spit on an officer and “became verbally aggressive,” according to police.

Police arrested Wiedmaier and took her to the hospital for a medical clearance. While there, she kicked an ER nurse in the chest, according to police.

Wiedmaier was charged with assault on a peace officer, assault on an emergency medical provider, and disorderly conduct.
