Two men rob women at gunpoint in northeast Wichita early Saturday

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita Police say two women were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning by a man with a gun in northeast Wichita.

Police say the women were sitting in a car about 12:20 a.m. in the 5900 block of E. Mainsgate when a man walked up to their vehicle, opened one of the doors, and pressed a gun up against the leg of one of the victims.

Sgt. Brian Sigman said the suspect demanded the woman’s purse but did not harm her. The man, who was with another suspect, robbed the women of two wallets, two cell phones and a laptop computer.  Sigman said the total loss was approximately $1,400.

The two suspect left on foot in an unknown direction,

No one was hurt in the incident.

Police are looking for the suspects.
