WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita Police are looking for a 36-year-old man who they say beat another man with a sock that contained a lock.

Sgt. Brian Sigman said officers responded to a call from a 38-year-old woman in the 500 block of N. Emporia about 1:50 a.m. Saturday who told them she witnessed the victim being beaten by a 41-year-old man.

Sigman said the victim sustained multiple facial injuries and was taken by ambulance to Via Christi St. Francis hospital in serious condition.

Police did not indicate a motive for the beating.
