Severe weather affects many in the Wichita metro

WICHITA, Kansas – Heavy rain and thunderstorms rolled through a large portion of Kansas on Monday affecting much of the state, including the Wichita metro area.

There were several reports of flooding, downed power lines, power outages and even a house struck by lightning in Sedgwick County.

A flash flood warning was also issued for Sedgwick County around 5 p.m. until 8:15 p.m.

Reno County also had power lines down and over 300 people without power.

Other reports of trees and power lines downed in the Butler County area also came in.

Several KSN viewers sent in photos of the storms and storm damage.
