Wichita man injured after being dragged more than a mile by car

WICHITA, Kansas – A 22-year-old man, who got into an argument with his girlfriend Saturday, was dragged about a mile and a half following an argument outside a vehicle.

Wichita police say the argument took place in the 6000 block of Croyden Circle around 11:10 a.m. Saturday. The victim reached inside the car to get his cell phone, when his 22-year-old girlfriend drove off.

The man was finally dislodged from the car and suffered severe road rash, mostly to his back.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Sedgwick County jail for aggravated battery during a domestic violence incident.

Police say the man was treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
