WICHITA, Kansas – Several cars were damaged in a carport fire in central Wichita. It happened just after 3 a.m. Monday morning near 10th and McLean.
Officials say the fire was controlled quickly.
Right now, the cause is under investigation, and investigators believe the fire was arson.
The fire caused $60,000 in damage to the cars and $25,000 in damage to the structure and nearby apartment building.
Two people refused treatment on scene. No other injuries were reported.
Officials note that there has been some vandalism in the area over the past couple weeks with cars being keyed.
