EL PASO, Texas – Bruce Jenner just made a change. But should a street named after him do the same?

That’s what some residents in one east El Paso, Texas neighborhood are discussing.

As you drive around the neighborhood, you’ll notice a theme.  You’ll see Frank Shorter lane, Jim Ryan lane and Don Meredith lane. While all are athletes, one stands out from the others:  Bruce Jenner Lane.

Jenner made history when he won the world title for the decathlon in the 1976 Olympics.  But most recently, he’s made headlines for his transformation from a man to a woman… From Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner.

But the question is, does this mean the El Paso street name will undergo a change too?

Some residents are saying yes while others think it should remain as is.

Either way, officials say the city council would have to get involved, especially since the street has been named ‘Bruce Jenner Lane’ since 1983.
