Sedgwick police: Man confesses to shooting cat with arrow

SEDGWICK, Kansas – The Sedgwick police chief says a man has confessed to shooting a cat named Archer with an arrow.

Police say they interviewed the suspect several times. He will make his first court appearance on May 13. He is charged with cruelty to animals.

As for Archer, he is recovering. He will be in his new home on Monday. The arrow went through Archer’s cheek and about an inch behind his eye according to the Sedgwick Veterinary Clinic. The clinic removed the arrow, patched the wound and put the cat on pain medication.
