Body found in downtown Salina

SALINA, Kansas – Police are investigating after a body was behind a vacant building in the Salina downtown area Tuesday according to KSAL News.

Police and EMS were called to the 200 block of South 4th Street just after 3:00 in the afternoon to the report of a person.

First responders found a deceased, adult male in an outdoor area behind a vacant building.

Police told KSAL News at the scene that the case is being treated as an unattended death.

An investigation is underway to determine how the man, who was not immediately identified, died.

An area west of South 4th Street, near the area of 4th and Walnut, was taped off as police worked the scene.
