WICHITA, Kansas – Two pizza delivery drivers were robbed this weekend.

According to police, one happened Friday night in the 4800 block of East Gilbert. The other happened Saturday in the 400 block of New York.

On Friday, police say a 29-year-old man was delivering pizzas. He says two men approached him with a stick. They stole two pizzas, cash, and a box of chicken wings. The delivery driver wasn’t injured.

However, on Saturday, a 61-year-old delivery man received a large bruise to the back of his head when two men approached and struck him with a novelty bat. The driver was attempting to deliver four pizzas, three boxes of wings, and two bottles of soda. The men took all the products.

Police are asking all businesses that deliver to be wary of your surroundings. Police say call back, verify a location if you can, and if it doesn’t feel right to the driver, drive around and make sure you’re comfortable with the delivery.
