Knife-wielding man clings to SUV

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (WPXI) – A Pennsylvania driver is facing charges after driving through seven communities with an angry man clinging to the hood of his SUV.

Pennsylvania State Police issued a press release stating that Dwayne Harvard, 46, struck Steve Sutton, 36, with his car. Both men are from Pittsburgh.

Harvard said the incident began when he gave a ride to Sutton’s girlfriend, Anna Mazzetti, who remained in the car during the incident.

“The guy pulls out a knife about this long,” Harvard said.

He said the sight of that knife is what sent him speeding out of a driveway, with Sutton still holding on to the hood.

“And we did try to stop the vehicle. He got completely violent like he was going to kill us both. Nobody in their right mind would stop the vehicle,” said Mazetti.

“I was in fear for my life,” added Harvard.

It took a number of police agencies to finally stop the vehicle.

Harvard was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence.
