Dollar Tree damaged in fire at west side shopping center

WICHITA, Kansas – A west side Dollar Tree caught fire early Monday evening. It happened in the 6800 block of West Kellogg around 7 p.m. at the WestGate Market Shopping Center.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find smoke coming from the back of the store. Firefighters determined the fire started in wooden pallets.

Crews were able to get the fire under control. The back wall of the building was heavily damaged in the fire.

Damage to the structure is estimated at$15,000. There was no damage to the building’s contents.
So far, the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
