WICHITA, Kansas – Several accidents forced traffic delays on Kellogg west of I-235 in Wichita.
Around 7:40 a.m., a construction truck’s tailgate came unlatched dumping rocks on the roadway.
Police were on scene getting the area cleaned up, and the efforts caused traffic to backup.
About 10 minutes later, officials say a 25-year-old man hit the back of truck with his motorcycle. It caused a serious accident, but the person did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
“This was a result of traffic being stopped, not as a result of the rock falling out of the truck,” said Capt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.
Officials worked for several hours to clean up the rock that was left over.
