GREAT BEND, Kansas — Friday was the last day for the Great Bend Farm and Ranch Show. KSN is a proud sponsor of the annual event that brings hundreds of vendors to the area from across the United States.
Day three of the farm and ranch expo drew a lot of people out to Great Bend. Even school groups came to see demos and talk to vendors.
“I’m the ag teacher at the high school and I brought about thirty kids with me today so they could kind of get out into another community and just experience the farm show,” said Jessica Rizley, teacher, Kingman High School.
Organizers say they have seen record numbers at the farm and ranch expo this year with over 20,000 people in attendance over three days.
“They are tickled that a lot of the machinery is going out, it’s some major sales,” said Darren Dale, Great Bend Farm and Ranch Expo. “So a lot of the vendors are extremely satisfied with the quality of attendance.”
Vendors are also impressed by the turnout and visitors loved the hands on experience.
Organizers say the expo has brought in $2.5 million to Great Bend.
