WICHITA, Kansas – Authorities with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office conducted a seatbelt saturation patrol. The patrol was held Thursday between 6 and 10 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says they conducted the patrol to decrease the number of unrestrained drivers.
As a result of the saturation patrol two reserve deputies initiated 17 traffic stops and the following citations were issued: 12 adult seat belt citations, 3 driver’s license violations, 1 tag violation, 3 insurance violations, 1 equipment violation, and 1 window tint violation. There were also 2 warnings issued.
The patrol was conducted by reserve deputies within the department.
