Man sentenced to 3 years for string of Wichita burglaries

WICHITA, Kansas – A 35-year-old Wichita man was sentenced to prison for a string of burglaries to Wichita businesses last year.

Adam J. Booher pleaded guilty to 19 felonies including burglary, attempted burglary and felony theft earlier this year.

District Court Judge Christopher Magana sentenced Booher to three years in prison for what the court described as a running crime spree between June and November of last year.

Judge Magana also ordered Booher to pay $46,946 in restitution to the victims.

Wichita police apprehended Booher as he attempted to burglarize a Best Buy location on North Maize Road last November.

Detectives were able to match Booher’s method of entry to several burglaries and attempted burglaries to numerous Wichita businesses including Haddock computer, Ribbit Computers and multiple locations of Target and Best Buy. Booher was convicted of thefts focusing mostly on electronics including Apple IPads and other Apple brand products.
