Former Eureka student teacher arrested for sex crimes

EUREKA, Kansas – The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says a 25-year-old Eureka woman was arrested for sex crimes.

According to the sheriff, Kourtnie A. Sanchez was arrested Monday.  She is facing charges of electronic solicitation, promoting obscenity to a minor, unlawful sexual relations, and solicitation of unlawful sexual relations.

Sanchez is currently out on a $50,000 bond.  Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8.

Sanchez was a student teacher at Eureka’s Marshall Elementary School during the 2014 fall semester.
