Wichita State wins 3rd straight Missouri Valley title

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) — Alex Harden scored 27 points, Michaela Dapprich added 24 and Wichita State beat Missouri State 85-71 on Sunday for its third straight Missouri Valley title.

The top-seeded Shockers (29-4) earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Jamillah Bonner added 18 points, Kelsey Jacobs had 10 to help Wichita State win its 12th straight game.

Tyonna Snow led third-seeded Missouri State (18-14) with 19 points, Kenzie Williams had 17, and Liza Fruendt 10. The Bears had won 10 games in a row.

Wichita State used an 18-8 run at the start of the second half to take a 56-43 lead.

The Shockers have won their last nine games in St. Charles. The tournament will move to Moline, Illinois, next season after an eight-year run in St. Charles.
