Hugoton beats Baldwin 68-54 for 4A-2 title

PARK CITY, Kan. (AP) — Amy Scott scored 25 points and Dallie Hoskinson added 21 as Hugoton beat Baldwin 68-54 on Saturday in the Class 4A Division 2 championship.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the game was tied at 15 after the first quarter. But Hugoton (22-2) took control in the second quarter, outscoring Baldwin 20-11. Sophomore Kathryn Heger added 13 points for Hugoton.

The Bulldogs (21-4) turned the ball over 14 times and was outscored 24 to 2 from the free-throw line. Maddie Ogle led Baldwin with 22 points and Alexia Stein contributed 14.
