Central Plains beats Moundridge 46-33 in girls 2A title game

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Taylor Rolfs scored 11 points to win Central Plains the girls’ 2A state title with a 46-33 victory over Moundridge on Saturday.

Central Plains (25-1) scored 31 points after a sluggish start against Moundridge (23-3).

Moundridge held a slim 1-point lead at halftime but couldn’t hold as Central Plains came out shooting.

Janae Ryan and Reagan Phelan each scored 10 points in the game, which gave Central Plains a second consecutive championship win.

Michelle Schrag led Moundridge in scoring with 13 points and 3 blocks, while Cassidy Siemens had seven rebounds for the team.
