Wichita police looking for sign stolen from Joyland coaster

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are looking for another big piece that was stolen from Joyland.

A sign above the roller coaster that read “Last Warning – Do not stand up – sit down!” was stolen.

If you have any information about the sign, please contact Det. Matt Lang at 316-268-4317 or MLang@wichita.gov.

Last month, Louie, the Joyland Clown mascot, was found in a sex offender’s home. Louie went missing more than a decade ago.

Louie disappeared from the Joyland property in 2005 or 2006 but wasn’t reported stolen until 2010. The Sedgwick County District Attorney is reviewing charges in that case.

Police say that the nearly 50-year-old clown is worth $10,000.
