Salina man arrested after home rampage

SALINA, Kansas – A 24-year-old Salina man was arrested for destroying a home according to KSAL.

On Tuesday, a 13-year-old boy came home to discover a man destroying his parents’ house in the 2400 block of Cottonwood on Tuesday.

Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Lt. Dave Weed, who lives nearby, heard the dispatch and responded to the scene. Weed held the suspect at gunpoint.

Authorities arrested Apollo Jolly on charges of aggravated burglary, criminal damage to property and theft.

Deputies described the damage to the home’s interior as “a disaster zone.”

Sheriff Kochanowski says there was extensive damage to the walls, and dresser drawers and contents had been thrown throughout the house. Damage is estimated at $3,000.
