DULUTH, Minnesota (KBJR) You may use an iPad or other touchscreen devices in your everyday life, but did you know that monkeys at the Lake Superior Zoo are now experimenting with that technology?
The monkeys are stepping into the digital age right along with the rest of the world.
“Because they are a species of higher intelligence, they can use it to solve puzzles, play games, and create artwork. It really opens a whole door of possibilities” explains Director of Animal Management Maicie Sykes.
Various apps showing things like fireworks or a koi pond have engaged the monkeys in playing with the device.
The artwork they’ve created with the iPads is even for sale in the gift shop.
