PARK CITY, Kansas – Authorities have identified a man whose body was found near Park City over the weekend.

Detectives have identified the victim as 56-year-old Dale Childress of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His body was found by a passer-by near 69th and Hillside Sunday.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department says evidence indicates that the victim was shot at the location where he was discovered. Neighbors in the area say they didn’t hear any gunshots.

According to Tulsa police, Childress was also someone that Tulsa police wanted to speak to about a double homicide last year.

Two women were shot and killed in an apartment, and police believe that Childress was with the men who were responsible the night before the murders.

Authorities are now looking for a 4-door 2001-2005 Buick LeSabre. The LeSabre is dark in color and possibly green.

If you have information, you are asked to call Sheriff Investigations at 316-660-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

The homicide is the first in 2015 in the unincorporated area of Sedgwick County.
