WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita officials estimate there were at least 50 accidents due to weather Monday morning. The snow came down quickly.
Many of the accidents took place on Kellogg during rush hour traffic. While none of the accidents left anyone with serious injuries, damage ranged from collisions and small pileups to slide offs.
Officials with the Kansas Highway Patrol said most of these accidents are because people were simply driving too fast for the road conditions.
They’ve cautioned for people to leave some stopping distance when they hit the roads because of light snow pack.
