(WBBH) An injured black bear that forced children and teachers to stay indoors Thursday at Pinewoods Elementary in Estero, Florida has been captured.
The bear was first spotted on campus Wednesday night going into dumpsters, and wildlife officers scared it off by shooting bean bag rounds, but it returned Thursday morning.
Officers set up a trap where the bear was last seen next to the bus loop and school busses were re-routed to the front of campus for drop-off on Thursday.
No outside activities were slated for Thursday and after-school activities were also cancelled.
