WICHITA, Kansas – We now know just how much Wichita paid out for the water rebate program and how much is left.

The program pays residents money who buy water saving appliances, toilets, and rain barrels.

City officials say they processed more than 2,600 rebates and paid out just over $285,000.

That leaves approximately $164,000 still in the account. There has been no word from officials if the water rebate program will continue this year.
