No injuries after several bullets fired in SW Wichita drive-by

WICHITA, Kansas – No injuries were reported after two men fired several bullets in a southwest Wichita residential area.

The drive-by happened Saturday around 7:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of south Elizabeth.

A 49-year-old female reported that she saw two men fire five to six shots out of the passenger side of a vehicle.

Bullets struck her vehicle and her house, and a windowsill that had two children sleeping inside the room. Luckily, the bullet did not make it into the children’s room.

Another car a couple blocks away was struck by a bullet, but no one was harmed.

Officers talked to several neighbors for more information, but they were not able to locate or identify the suspects and are asking for help solving the case. If you have any information, please contact CrimeStoppers at 316-267-2111.
