EASTON, Pa. (AP) — A New York woman is jailed after police say she stabbed her boyfriend during a Christmas visit to eastern Pennsylvania.

Vidanti Charles was arraigned Thursday on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Police say Charles stabbed boyfriend Georgie Allie around 4:15 a.m. while in Easton visiting friends for the holiday.

Easton police Lt. Matthew Gerould tells the Express-Times the victim remains in “very serious condition.”

Gerould tells the newspaper the stabbing resulted from a domestic disturbance. He wouldn’t detail a possible motive.

Charles remains jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail and could not be reached for comment.

Police say she and Allie are both 22.
