WASHINGTON (NBC News) – Still looking for stocking stuffers? There are plenty of high-tech gadgets that will run you less than $50.
For TV fans who have not joined the streaming revolution, the Roku is a possibility. It starts at $49 and can stream hundreds of channels.
For people on the go, wearable fitness bands could be an option. They vary widely in price and features, but the Misfit Flash and the Jawbone Up Move each cost $50.
“They both track all of the fitness that you want,” says CNET.com’s Lindsey Turrentine. “They both have apps to help you keep track of what you’re eating. The Jawbone, in particular has a really nice app.”
If the Christmas Tree is lacking that little extra something, the Jingle Balls wireless ornament could fill the void. It contains a Bluetooth speaker that plays music streamed from your phone.
For smartphone users who need a little help getting the perfect selfie, the Selfy phone case might be able to help.
“It actually has a little remote that pops out, so you can set your phone somewhere else and take a picture from afar,” Turrentine explains.
The Selfy costs $40 and is available for the iPhone 5, 6 and 6 Plus, as well as the Galaxy S5.
