BUTLER COUNTY, Kansas – Butler County Sheriffs report that a full-size SUV collided into another vehicle, causing the two vehicles to roll which led to critical injuries with one person and serious injuries with a second.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. on Highway 254 near the Sedgwick County and Butler County line.
Police say that a Ford Excursion carrying nine passengers was headed westbound then collided into another vehicle carrying three passengers that failed to yield headed northbound.
Emergency crews were dispatched and two were transported to a Wichita hospital; one in critical condition and one in serious condition.
Traffic was shut down on westbound 254 for several while crews evaluate the scene. Butler County Sheriffs are continuing to work the scene throughout the evening.
