Man stabbed on Wichita’s west side

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are investigating a stabbing. It happened in the 11900 block of West 20th Street just after 10:30 a.m.

Officials say a 38-year-old man received two stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.

Police say the son of the victim called 911. He said two people were at the door, and one stabbed his father.

“The victim stated he heard someone knocking on the door, and when he went to the door, that’s when the assault took place,” said Sgt. Troy Nedbalek, Wichita Police Department.

The victim was transported to Via-Christi St. Francis Hospital in serious condition. Police are still searching for the suspects.
