TOPEKA, Kansas – November revenue receipts on Wednesday were $3.1 million more than estimates.

Corporate income tax receipts continued a growing trend at $1 million more than estimates and are currently 34 percent higher, or $35 million, for fiscal year 2015 than collections for fiscal year 2014 in November.

Withholding taxes, the individual income tax taken out per paycheck, is about 6.4 percent more than last year and individual income tax receipts were $3.8 million above expectations.

“This is good news, particularly coupled with the positive unemployment numbers that came out earlier this month,” said Revenue Secretary Nick Jordan.
