Two Wichita teens arrested for stealing a TV set during school hours

WICHITA, Kansas – Two teenagers were arrested Friday afternoon after they were caught trying to steal a television set from a house near the Delano district.

The reporting party said that they saw two suspects leaving the scene of a burglary carrying a television set. The reporting party yelled at the suspects, and one of them turned and fired a shot at the reporting party.

Officers were able to locate the two individuals with the stolen property and both were arrested.

The suspects were taken to be interviewed, and were booked on Aggravated Assault, Residential Burglary, and Truancy.

No injuries were reported, and officials are unsure if the bullet caused any damage to property.
