WICHITA, Kansas —¬†Chris Hott, Business Manager at Scholfield Hyundai explains some of the features available on newer cars to help keep your kids safe after they leave the house.

“From when they had vehicles back in the day none of these were options to now where they can keep a pretty good strangle hold on what’s going on with their children especially during night-time, if it’s getting late they know where their kids are at,” says Chris.

“There’s a lot of dangers out there these days it allows them to keep a thumb on what’s going on with their kids.

You can set area boundaries which will trigger an alert if the vehicle leaves the area.
You can set area boundaries which will trigger an alert if the vehicle leaves the area.

Whether it’s a Geo Fence where they can actually, if they go outside a certain area it’ll notify the parents either by phone or e-mail or text message, if they go over a certain speed in the vehicle, it will notify the parents as well.

And then of course they also have a curfew where if the car is driving past a certain curfew it will notify the parents as well.

So there are nice safety features to let parents know what’s going on, what their kids are doing.

We sit down with them and we enroll them in the BlueLink System and we can set everything up for them right then and there.

They actually have a mobile app that’s easy for you to use as well and can set the parameters for any of these technologies anytime anywhere, so it’s easy to do.”
